Receiving Is Sacred: A Message from Ceremony

A few days ago, I sat in sacred ceremony with psilocybin, asking to be shown the root of my scarcity. Why, after all the work I’ve done, do I still live with financial strain, a clenched jaw, a tight belly, and a deep ache of “not enough”?

The spirit of money arrived swiftly. And it surprised me.

It came not as numbers or coins, but as an energy - wild, vibrant, sovereign. Not something to have, but something to relate to.

It said, gently but firmly:

“You are trying to control me.

You are making me small.

You are treating me like a utility…

But I am a gift. A spirit. A being.

I want to express myself through you—but you must let me.”

In that moment, I saw it clearly: I had been chasing money, clients, love, connection…

But chasing isn’t trusting.

Chasing isn’t receiving.

And more than that—chasing is a form of control. I was trying to manage how things showed up in my life. I wanted them to appear on my timeline, in my preferred shape, through my pre-approved channels.

But that’s not love. That’s fear in disguise.

The Sacred Shift: From Control to Invitation

The mushrooms, too -these wise and ancient beings- showed me that they love to be in my body.

Because I invited them.

Because I allowed them to express their wisdom in the way they wanted to.

Because I trusted their gifts.

And suddenly, I understood:

The same is true of money. The same is true of people. The same is true of love itself.

All of these spirits want to give. Giving is their joy.

But when we cling, grasp, chase, or manipulate…We block the flow.

We rob others (and ourselves) of the sacred joy of offering and receiving.

Even Water Wants to Give

At one point during my journey, I took a sip of water.

And I could feel the water celebrating.

It was elated to be received. To be invited. To be used for love.

This, I realized, is the energy that flows through all things. Everything wants to give its gift.

The question is: Will we let ourselves receive it?

Without guilt.

Without control.

Without a story of unworthiness.

You Are Worthy of Receiving

This is what I want to say to you now—not from the role of a coach, or guide, or even a “business owner.”

I’m just a fellow soul on the path. And I know how hard it can be to soften. To stop managing. To open your hands and say: I am ready to receive.

But I believe this with my whole being:

Receiving is not selfish. Receiving is not passive. Receiving is sacred.

It is how you let the universe love you.

If this resonates, I invite you to ask:

  • Where am I still chasing instead of allowing?

  • What have I been trying to control that might just want to bless me?

  • What would it feel like to stop performing and simply… receive?

If you’re on your own healing journey—especially if you’ve been feeling disconnected from abundance, worth, or trust, I’d be honored to hold space for you. This is the very work I offer in my practice: safe, grounded space to come home to yourself.

You don’t need to earn healing. You just need to allow it.
